TREEHOUSE MEETS PLAY

October 29, 2015

I firstly want to introduce this artist as someone who can deliver the realness within his music, adopting the Boom Bap style to create a unique sound. PLAY is a lyricist and musician from Suffolk, Virginia US. Infusing live instrumentation production with raw wordplay, illustrates his sounds authenticity. Comparisons in style to a few up and coming artists such as Atlas and Sincere 616 who in my eyes are the leaders in the underground for real hip-hop inspired music.

Play shows his gift for bars and flow in his 'it aint worth it' track ft. cvmquest. Yet he can then switch up the tempo to a smooth Hip Hop piece with the inclusion of some nice Future beats with 'no connections'. Play is a part of the future of Hip-Hop which is being birthed where artists infuse more soul and jazz into their music.

TREEHOUSE: Introduce yourself, and where you are from?
