So a couple of weeks ago I was chilling at my boys house, when I can't remember who, but someone played this music video to me: WSTRN (Akelle Charles x Louis Rei x Haile) - IN2.
As a fellow Londoner myself I instantly caught that social media itch to, Like, share, support and consequently even write this discover profile on one of the artists in particular. Haile pronounced Highly from West London tears the 'IN2' hook to shreds, to the point of my confusion and leaving me with many unanswered questions, like his age, musical background and what the future holds for his fans. That Wiki page is soon pending, trust me!
I say this with confidence, because the UK has plenty of singers don't get me wrong, but for some time now I haven't heard any key word, Wavey, singers who you can clearly see have the natural gift to deliver a chorus with pure finesse. My personal favourites that I'd like to mention alongside Haile would be: Young Mad B with 'Hennessey Flowing' and Spesh'ill Featuring on Nines' 'Jodeci Back'. With Nines working with Haile on his latest music video 'Can't Blame Me' I guess he too understands that it's a wavey singer ting!
With the UK summer coming to a close, what a perfect car windows down, track to be blazing right now with the video itself highlighting what the London culture should be about, friends and family gathering together to eat, drink, smoke and support their close ones. That's that TreeHouse Vibes shit!
To all my readers, feel free to leave a comment below if you think that I've missed any UK talent's in this field as I'd love to look them up and have a listen. So stay posted as I'll be keeping a close eye on 'Western Union (WSTRN)' and their self-titled upcoming EP.
